Hey, what's a good looking movie like you doing in a cheap bin like this?
While browsing my favorite multi-media mega store the other day, I stumpled across a stack of movies being sold for less than six dollars each. I didn't have very high expectations, but after tilting my head to read a few rows of titles I found myself saying "Hey, what's a good looking movie like you doing in a cheap bin like this?" Here is a list of my favorites:
#1. Mystery Men
This is one of my all-time favorite comedies of all time. The best scene is the superhero auditions.
#2. Top Secret
Okay, I admit it. I actually own the soundtrack to this movie.
#3. Stealing Home
I'm a big fan of the "coming of age" genre ... probably because I haven't yet.
#4. The Man Who Knew Too Little
Bill Murray at his finest.
#5. Grand Canyon
A compelling drama about the degree to which our lives are entertwined.

I found the director's cut of Blade Runner for around $3 at Wal-mart.

SCORE! That's a great pickup. I owned the Blade Runner Director's Cut on Laserdisc ... remember those? I'm certain it cost me more than $3. How far did you have to dig in the big Wal-Mart bin?

Ben:
When I purchased the $3 Blade Runner DVD it was in neatly organized row on a display table in the center of the aisle. Although when I went back recently to Wal-mart you had to dig in the bin but it was there.
