More to come . . .

I didn't get the impression that The Forgotten implied an "eternal something" that lies within us, connecting us with each other. On the contrary, the movie focused on Telly's biological (not spiritual) connection with her son. As I mentioned in my own review (just posted), the director tries to portray Telly as being a "special" or "prototypical" mother with a maternal bond so strong that it can even withstand alien intervention! However, this bond -- though an unresolved mystery for the aliens -- is portrayed largely in material/biological, rather than spiritual, terms. Unfortunately, The Forgotten doesn't provide any clear, systematic explanation for how Telly manages to remember her son.

I agree. Look a little more closely at my closing statement: the associations are indirectly stated, tenuous and suggestive only.
